Our new house!

In January we found a foreclosed home that we loved and decided to make kindof a crazy offer on it, figuring that they would probably counter-offer more than we wanted to pay, but they only counter-offered a little more than what we offered, so we took it. The house had been trying to sell for 3 years, so we feel fortunate that we stumbled across this great deal! It's about 4 miles from Jared's work too. The only thing wrong with it is that the hot water doesn't work in our garden tub and the backyard is very slopey :(. We'll get that fixed soon hopefully! We love our neighborhood and our neighbors all have young kids and are really nice. We love our new ward at church too! Kailee loves having more space to run around.

Isn't Kailee getting so long and skinny.
Kailee wearing her hat and necklace!
This is what our floor looks like every night thanks to our messy Kailee-pie!
It was time I cut Kailee's hair a little shorter since it is so thin. I wasn't quite ready for the change, but it was time. I knew Jared's Mom would probably do a better job cutting her hair than I would, so I let her have the honor of doing it! Kailee did an awesome job sitting still for Granny! She was visiting from Utah with Grammy (Jared's Grandma). Jamie and her girls from Austin came to visit us too! We had a great few days with them here!
Kailee dancing! She asks for "music peas" a couple times a day.
Her cute new pajamas from Nana! Thanks Nana!

Allie whom used to hate tummy time now rolls over to sleep on her tummy! Notice she's wearing my socks because they take longer for her to pull off.
Almost 8 months!

Lots of lovin on her bones :)

7 months and 20 lbs!!!!

Our cute little Allie Anne isn't so little next to other babies her age. A lady we saw somewhere said "hey sugar lumps!" We like to call her our little chunky monkey, but we'll stop that nickname before she's old enough to get her feelings hurt. :) Allie is very vocal and is always moving her hands and legs a million miles per hour. We have a feeling she won't be as mellow as Kailee is. She is full of snuggles and smiles! She is so fun to hold. We just love her so much and feel so blessed to be passing through the fun baby stages once again. We look forward to her crawls, first steps, and first words!

Allie has a round-a-bout exersauser she sits in and can walk or run around the center play thing. Kailee was beside her and Allie took off and rolled over her. Kailee was kindof stuck under her seat and crying "Mommy, Mommy." She was balling and said "Allie, dats a no no, be nice." After I once again explained she's just a baby and doesn't know better, she smiled and said "Silly Allie."

Kailee's Birthday/Valentine's

Kailee got a virus and was soooooo sick on her 2nd birthday. So, we celebrated the next night when she was feeling a little better. Hopefully we can reschedule her friend party once her and Allie are all better. Kailee now has bronchitis and Allie has RSV :(
Kailee loves Belle and calls her "Princess Bella," so I made her a "princess Bella" cake!

Kailee sporting her new princess crown and earrings that Granny got her!

Daddy got Kailee a huge tinker bell balloon for her birthday!

We went to Macaroni Grill for Valentine's day! The four cheese alfredo pasta with chicken, brocolli, and asparagus is my FAVORITE food in the world, hands down!!
Me and my favorite girls!
Too bad their wall didn't match us better.

I don't think I ever posted a pic. of my new haircut, although it's not new anymore. I got it cut over Christmas break.

Allie's giggles!

Allie is often in a giggly mood when she first wakes up, probably because she's so well rested. So, I thought I'd take a video and let you hear her cute laugh!

Happy Birthday Kailee!

Today, Kailee turned 2 years old at 8:11 am!! I can hardly believe how 2 years has flown by and she has quadrupled her birth weight. She's no longer our little baby, but our little toddler, yet, she will always be our little girl. We can only hope that our girls will live in never-ever land like in Peter Pan and never grow up. I miss Kailee being a baby so much that I would probably spend all of today crying if it wasn't for Allie. I still have her to rock to sleep, until she too gets too old.

I don't know how to begin to describe the deep love we feel for our little Kailee pie. She is such a blessing in our lives; a little bundle of joy! Little children truely are so Christlike. Kailee has a sweet, kind, & loving countenance that just glows! She loves snuggles, kisses, and hugs and often freely gives them to us without us even asking for them. It is in her nature to be grateful for EVERYTHING. She says "thankyou, Mommy" or "thankyou, Daddy" multiple times a day. She'll thank us for her food, for putting her clothes on, for giving her hugs, for putting toothpaste on her toothbrush, for letting her watch Barney, for anything that brings her satisfaction.

Kailee loves to help and if she sees me cooking or doing dishes she says, "help Mommy" and she goes and drags her little princess chair into the kitchen and stands right next to me. I had cut up cantaloupe for dinner one night last week and had it in a bowl in the middle of our island. I went to feed Allie and Jared said he walked into the kitchen and Kailee had brought in her chair so she could reach the table and had pulled the bowl toward her and was just scarfing down cantaloupe. She looked at Jared with a big smile and went about her business like eating the whole bowl of fruit was completely normal.

Kailee is a bit of a whiny child, as of late. When she gives Allie hugs and kisses, Allie normally grabs onto her clothes and Kailee can't get away. Kailee gets very distraught and whines "nice, Allie, nice." She likes to take ownership in all of her things and it started bothering her when Allie or a friend was touching something of hers. So, we had a Family Home Evening lesson on sharing and after multiple teaching moments, Kailee now doesn't mind sharing as much and will say "share."

Kailee loves to go "shopping." A trip to the grocery store is quite the treat for her! She loves rides in the stroller, the park, singing songs, and playing with her dolls. She is quite the mother to her dolls; she makes sure they get fed and that they go night nights multiple times a day! Kailee's favorite time of day is getting to read books with Daddy before she goes to bed. She'll pick out a bunch of books and then go sit in his lap. Once when Jared was almost through the whole pile of books, I went in and said "do you want more books, Kailee?" and put 3 more books on Jared's lap. Kailee said very enthusiastically "alright!!" Jared said "Shannon, no more books." He had already been reading for like 30 minutes, so I got a good kick out of giving him more books to read, lol.

Well, we look forward to another year with Kailee, though we hope it doesn't fly by too quickly. What a sad day it will be when Kailee can talk perfectly. Happy Birthday Kailee! We love you more than you'll ever know!!

Kailee's 1st haircut!
Kailee said "toesies hungy Mommy" and started putting yogurt on her toes, lol.
Our babysitter said she didn't want to take a nap in her crib, so she let Kailee sleep on her Dora couch in the living room. Kailee is already manipulating the babysitters! Doesn't she look so cute!

Hilarious

I found this on a friend's blog, so I thought I'd put it on mine to share with all my friends! Jared would totally agree!

A wife was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her husband. Suddenly, her husband burst into the kitchen. 'Careful,' he said, 'CAREFUL! Put in some more butter! Oh my gosh! You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW! We need more butter. Oh my gosh! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER? They're going to STICK! Careful. CAREFUL! I said be CAREFUL! You NEVER listento me when you're cooking! Never! Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have you LOST your mind? Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!' The wife stared at him. 'What in the world is wrong with you? You think I don't know how to fry a couple of eggs?' The husband calmly replied, 'I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving.'
