Kailee's Birthday/Valentine's

Kailee got a virus and was soooooo sick on her 2nd birthday. So, we celebrated the next night when she was feeling a little better. Hopefully we can reschedule her friend party once her and Allie are all better. Kailee now has bronchitis and Allie has RSV :(
Kailee loves Belle and calls her "Princess Bella," so I made her a "princess Bella" cake!

Kailee sporting her new princess crown and earrings that Granny got her!

Daddy got Kailee a huge tinker bell balloon for her birthday!

We went to Macaroni Grill for Valentine's day! The four cheese alfredo pasta with chicken, brocolli, and asparagus is my FAVORITE food in the world, hands down!!
Me and my favorite girls!
Too bad their wall didn't match us better.

I don't think I ever posted a pic. of my new haircut, although it's not new anymore. I got it cut over Christmas break.

Allie's giggles!

Allie is often in a giggly mood when she first wakes up, probably because she's so well rested. So, I thought I'd take a video and let you hear her cute laugh!

Happy Birthday Kailee!

Today, Kailee turned 2 years old at 8:11 am!! I can hardly believe how 2 years has flown by and she has quadrupled her birth weight. She's no longer our little baby, but our little toddler, yet, she will always be our little girl. We can only hope that our girls will live in never-ever land like in Peter Pan and never grow up. I miss Kailee being a baby so much that I would probably spend all of today crying if it wasn't for Allie. I still have her to rock to sleep, until she too gets too old.

I don't know how to begin to describe the deep love we feel for our little Kailee pie. She is such a blessing in our lives; a little bundle of joy! Little children truely are so Christlike. Kailee has a sweet, kind, & loving countenance that just glows! She loves snuggles, kisses, and hugs and often freely gives them to us without us even asking for them. It is in her nature to be grateful for EVERYTHING. She says "thankyou, Mommy" or "thankyou, Daddy" multiple times a day. She'll thank us for her food, for putting her clothes on, for giving her hugs, for putting toothpaste on her toothbrush, for letting her watch Barney, for anything that brings her satisfaction.

Kailee loves to help and if she sees me cooking or doing dishes she says, "help Mommy" and she goes and drags her little princess chair into the kitchen and stands right next to me. I had cut up cantaloupe for dinner one night last week and had it in a bowl in the middle of our island. I went to feed Allie and Jared said he walked into the kitchen and Kailee had brought in her chair so she could reach the table and had pulled the bowl toward her and was just scarfing down cantaloupe. She looked at Jared with a big smile and went about her business like eating the whole bowl of fruit was completely normal.

Kailee is a bit of a whiny child, as of late. When she gives Allie hugs and kisses, Allie normally grabs onto her clothes and Kailee can't get away. Kailee gets very distraught and whines "nice, Allie, nice." She likes to take ownership in all of her things and it started bothering her when Allie or a friend was touching something of hers. So, we had a Family Home Evening lesson on sharing and after multiple teaching moments, Kailee now doesn't mind sharing as much and will say "share."

Kailee loves to go "shopping." A trip to the grocery store is quite the treat for her! She loves rides in the stroller, the park, singing songs, and playing with her dolls. She is quite the mother to her dolls; she makes sure they get fed and that they go night nights multiple times a day! Kailee's favorite time of day is getting to read books with Daddy before she goes to bed. She'll pick out a bunch of books and then go sit in his lap. Once when Jared was almost through the whole pile of books, I went in and said "do you want more books, Kailee?" and put 3 more books on Jared's lap. Kailee said very enthusiastically "alright!!" Jared said "Shannon, no more books." He had already been reading for like 30 minutes, so I got a good kick out of giving him more books to read, lol.

Well, we look forward to another year with Kailee, though we hope it doesn't fly by too quickly. What a sad day it will be when Kailee can talk perfectly. Happy Birthday Kailee! We love you more than you'll ever know!!

Kailee's 1st haircut!
Kailee said "toesies hungy Mommy" and started putting yogurt on her toes, lol.
Our babysitter said she didn't want to take a nap in her crib, so she let Kailee sleep on her Dora couch in the living room. Kailee is already manipulating the babysitters! Doesn't she look so cute!
