Girls, Spring Break, and Crafts!!

The girls love playing in our tub when I'm putting my makeup on.  They enjoy my shower caps too!!
Kailee with Mommy's shoes on watching Daddy dig up our old bushes.  During spring break, Jared planted Hydrangea bushes and Granny helped us plant flowers.  Jared planted a tree in our yard too!  Then it poured snow saturday night and church was cancelled on Sunday.  We covered our flowers and so far they still look alive.  Phew.
Jared's Mom and his sister and their 3 girls hung out with us for Spring break!  We went to the park, chick fillet, Bill's Cafe (for breaktfast), and Trail Dust (A steakhouse with country line dancing).  The girls loved all the company.  We miss them already!
Made these for my visiting teachees to go along with my lesson this month:  Sister Scriptorians-- blessing homes and lives one study session at a time.  Got the idea from http://www.visitingteachingblog.blogspot.com/ and changed it a little to make it a bit easier.  I put little magnets on the back for the fridge and kept one for myelf!
Saturday night, Jared went to a friend's house to watch the BYU game, so I started crafting!!!  I found this tea towel idea on http://www.makeitandloveit.blogspot.com/  Thanks cousin Kelly for telling me about this blog!! I spent 1.5 hours browsing this awesome blog b/c there are so many cool ideas!  I wrote down like 20 things I want to do.  This was my 1st project.  I bought kitchen towels that matched my kitchen and a little fabric to match as well.  Sewed it on and made little fabric yo-yo's to add to them.  I was so proud of myself!! Woot woot!!
I finished all 3 towels on Sunday, as church was cancelled due to snow.  Then, with leftover fabric, I made 2 fabric headbands (green and yellow).  Instructions for this are on the above mentioned blog as well.  I made mine 3/4 inch thick and added a little fabric yo-yo to my headband as well.  I'll post a pic. soon!  Then I started to make big hooded towels for the girls and the needle on my sewing machine broke.  There was no tension that I could see, I don't know what happened????  Out of needles, I put my crafting supplies away and made cookies!!  Then we had our neighbors over for dinner, mac & cheese casserole, (gourmet--I know!!), and read books.  Jared is reading Twilight finally!!  Wahoo!  By the way, this is the BEST, easiest, recipe ever: MAC & CHEESE CASSEROLE
Start cooking 1 box. mac & cheese.  Brown 1 lb. hamburger with chopped green peppers (I use my food processor to chop them really small so the girls don't pick them out).  Add 1 can cr. of mushroom soup.  Make the mac and cheese separately according to the box directions and add to the hamburger/soup mixture.  Stir it up and serve!  Sooooo yummy!  I don't like green peppers, but I love this recipe!!  And so do my girls!!  It's a Critchfield Fav!!

That is crazy that it was nice and then it poured snow. How sad. I am glad you got your flowers covered. You have some awesome ideas for crafts. I love it. I should totally make some towels for our kitchen. The towels we have are a little on the rags side of it.
