Sistas!
Never went into labor, so the next day, we finally went to the hospital, hoping they could do something to put me into labor so I could have a shot at my VBAC and not have to get another C-section.
Here we go...
My midwife was nice enough to give me a tad bit of pitocin to see if it'd get my contractions going more regularly and... it did!! Wahoo... this just means stronger contractions than natural labor and therefore a more painful natural labor... :(
4.5 hours later at 10:41pm... out she came!
Lacie Kate Critchfield
7 lbs. 15 oz.
20 1/2 in.
Perfect
I will NEVER give natural birth again. I'm so glad I got my VBAC, but WOW, I never knew natural labor could be such excruciating pain. Feeling your hips spread apart is NO FUN!
For our Celebration lunch, they brought us steak & lobster, chicken & shrimp, asparagus, potatoes, caesar salad, and cheesecake!
Mama Bert took good care of the girls while we were in the hospital.
Nana got them the cutest "Big Sister" shirts!
Allie was IN LOVE! She kept asking how the doctor got baby Lacie out and about the umbilical cord... so inquisitive... constant questions!
Kailee lifted up my shirt a little to see if the baby really was out of my tummy lol. She was a little quiet at first, but warmed right up to her new sissy!
My midwife, Jeanean... fabulous!
Great Grandma once again!
Awe!
Taylor, Connie, & Haley... (choir kids) Love this fam!
Jared got me a BEAUTIFUL pink ring as my "push present" for pushin this baby out... genious idea! So, I got him one too for being my biggest support! He got the BYU outfit he's wearing :)
Gift bags for the girls from the Jordan fam!
Adorable :)
My new favorite picture!
First family picture with Lacie! Three sweet little girls! I am IN LOVE!
Love the quilt Granny made for her :)
Mommy's little angel!
Daddy's little buttercup!
1st time in the car seat!
I did not want to leave... I love the hospital... it's like vacation... they took such great care of me... I only got to stay 36 hours... I liked the 48 hour rule when I had Kailee better :)
Allie sure knows how to say cheese!
Some of our best buds... the Kenealey family!

we're so happy for you guys. so sorry to hear you were in so much pain! what a great story though, and you can remind lacie of how hard you worked to get her here for the rest of her life :) lots of love!
Congratulations you guys! Lacie is beautiful and I love that name! Shannon I am amazed and completely impressed that you went natural. I don't think I ever could. You look beautiful.
Congrats!! Lacie is beautiful! And way to go on sticking with natural. I admire you!!
Wow! Congratulations. We had our little boy Dec 29th. Close birthdays :)
WOW! I know I do not have the pain tolerance to ever go natural! You are AMAZING for not only trying but succeeding at it! So I guess it's lucky for me I'll never be faced with that choice since I always have to go with the section. But the up side I get a 96 hour vacation in the hospital :). You look amazing! Lacie is so beautiful! Congrats on your beautfiul growing family!
Shan you are amazing. Natural is not easy, and it definitely NOT easy with pitocin! I had pitocin with Andleyn and told Royal to forget about helping me with natural labor and to plug me with the happy juice. I did natural labor with the boys and it was WAY more doable WITHOUT the pitocin. I am in awe at you to have such a fast and intense labor. I don't blame you for never wanting to do it again! I'm sure you barely got a break in between contractions. I'm hoping for more pics soon since babies grow so fast, but the transition from two kids to three is intensely hard. It was for me at least. Even before Zeke got sick. I love that you wore your pink pj's at the hospital. Those gowns are activate my gag reflex. Your jammies made me smile. :) I hope everything is going well and you are getting some sleep once in a while. Love you!!!
