Dunno why I've been so lazy when it comes to blogging lately. I keep putting off getting AA batteries so that I can turn on my camera and download our pics. to the computer. Brief update: In July, we had a fabulous beach week at Port Aransas, TX with Jared's family! Good times, other than the fact that Allie was sick for most of it. At the end of July, Allie turned 1!!! She will get her own post all about how cute and wonderful she is very soon!! Recently, Jared bought a scooter so I could have the car during the days (his work is like 3.5 miles away). And before he had the chance to get it inspected and registered, our car broke down. The timing belt broke and messed up our engine. It would cost twice what our car is worth to fix it. So, in search of a minivan that we could grow into, we met with a few dishonest people that claimed their vans were in EXCELLENT condition. Carfax reported one with much more miles than their odometer read... hummm. A couple people had gotten buddies to fix up their cars after an accident, which wasn't reported to Carfax. I watched a youtube video about how to know if a car has been in an accident. After spending WAY too much time on the internet searching for the perfect vehicle for us, we finally found an old 2002 Honda Odyssey minivan with 73K miles. A recall on the van got it a new transmission at 50K, so that's good. Carfax reported that all the scheduled oil changes and maintenances were performed for most of it's life (until recently). So, we checked out the van, loved it, bought it, and then got the timing belt and water pump changed!! Though we were hoping to save up and pay for a minivan with 100% cash, we are happy to have more space and are hoping to have what we financed paid off in 9 months!
This year, I started a preschool from my home for 2 1/2 and 3 year olds. I have 10 students (all girls, coincidentally)!! We just finished our 1st week and it is so fun! Kailee LOVES preschool! I have an assistant to help me and her daughter attends my class.
Jared is still teaching choir and has like 20 piano and voice students after school every week. His schedule is packed. It's so wonderful that he has the talent and ability to teach private lessons, as it is a great source of extra income for our family to help us pay off debt! Thankyou honey for working so hard!! He has a few people on his waiting list too, but he is keeping some time open for his family! :)
My brother, Jacob, who lived with us last summer is staying with us again for just 2 months. He is selling pest control. It's fun to have him around and so convenient because Jared and I can go grab a shake when the girls are in bed if he's here and when Allie is napping in the morning, Kailee and I can go run an errand!! Thanks bro! And he brings in the groceries for me and empties the trash and plays with the girls!! He's great!
Pictures to come soon!

Go minivan. We want one (but are going to wait until totally needed). Preschool sounds fun, 10 students wow. I was thinking about doing a little co-op this year with maybe 4 kids. You're amazing! Wish I could do it with you. It would be fun.
Whoah! Crazy summer. No wonder you haven't been blogging. Car troubles are the worst. Good research though. You guys really know your stuff! I'm so excited for you and your preschool too. You are super woman! Hooray for your bro to bring in the groceries though. Even superwoman needs a little help every once in a while.
