We're pregnant... and it's a GIRL!!

It's true! We kept it a secret for as long as we could! We wanted to wait and tell our parents when we found out the gender. That was especially easy to do with my parents since they live across the United States. Jared's family, on the other hand, we see all the time, so when I started showing, they found out! My Mom was in shock and did not believe me at first. She is so excited and just laughs at how deceiving I have been! My Dad said "you're kidding," lol. Jared's Mom was excited that we are keeping up the girl tradition in the family, so far, there are only girl grandchildren! Jared was so sure we were having a boy, so when the ultrasound guy said it's a girl, we just laughed... we both could not stop grinning. We are so thrilled Kailee will have a little sister. I just think Jared's greatest fear is having all girls and no boys, lol. It feels so real now that we know the gender and we will probably name her Ali, Alli, Ally... we haven't really thought about spellings yet. Maybe even Ally Anne Critchfield. Oh... the due date is July 27th! I will scan some ultrasound pictures in soon; I left them in the car!

What?!?! I have been so busy this week I forgot to go to the appointment with you. ;)

My birthday is July 28th! Just a little FYI. I'm so excited though. I can't believe you want to name her Kate too. It really is such a pretty name. Wow, this really has been such a great week.

I'm so glad you're due in July, it was such a perfect month to have Reagan.
I'm so excited for you guys. And I give you major props on keeping up the secrecy. I've known several people who have tried but have all broken down!!! I think it's so funny that your parents didn't believe you b/c that is also a very "Shannon" thing to do to joke about being pregnant. lol

Little Miss Stinker! Shannon would be a great actress. She played an amazingly deceptive role these past 20 weeks! :-)However, Mom has recovered from the shock and all is forgiven. Maybe. After-all, for 4 1/2 months she DID deprive me of buying an 'infant' outfit in PINK! Shannon sweetie, your Mom now likes the spelling 'Alli'-for what it is worth. :-) I like them all though. However, I agree with Becky..the funkier the better. Step out of your (baby names) 'comfort zone'. Remember that her Mommy, Daddy & little sister are 'unique & awesome'.:-) Maybe something to go with your 'UNIQUE & WONDERFUL' baby to be.:-) I realize that Mom's advice is listened to, then often will be 'thrown out'. Mom's give advice & daughters say 'thanks Mom, see ya!!' But I appreciate the platform anyway. Just kidding! :-) It really will be fun to find out what you and Jared decide. XXXXOOOO to Kailee from Nana. Congratulations Jared & Shannon!!! We Love You, MOM

Oh my goodness Shannon! That is so exciting. Congratulations. Your two are going to be super close together and that will be so nice because then they'll be pals. You are brave to keep it from everyone until you found out the gender. I could never do that!
